Welcome to our little place on the internet. We hope you will find our website an enjoyable experience and will come
back frequently.
Wallace White or what he likes to be called is Addison, grew up in the small picturesque village of Noel, Nova Scotia
Canada. He started becoming involved with dogs at the age of 14 when he started attending dog obedience classes conducted
by the Glooscap Kennel Club in Windsor Forks, Nova Scotia. At the age of 18 he purchased his first purebred dog...a blue
merle Shetland Sheepdog. Over the next 10 years, he bred Shelties under the Whisperwind prefix which is still registered
in his name by the Canadian Kennel Club.
During this period, he attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Currently he is a graduate
of Animal Science (Tech) ('95) and Agricultural Technology ('07). While attending college, he served in several positions
in all-breed and specialty clubs, such as show chairperson and show secretary. Being involved in agility, obedience and conformation,
Addison taught all-breed obedience classes, agility classes and handled several breeds professionally in all groups accept
the Toy group. Addison in the past has worked as a veterinary technician, as an all-breed groomer, and worked in one of Canada's
top terrier kennels.
Now after a few years hiatus, he an his life partner Ron Dunn, purchased their first Parson Russell Terrier from Hazel
Parker of Trumphill. They decided on this dog as Ron wanted a companion while at home, and Addison suggested the breed after
being involved with a few owners (including Susan Garrett) while instructing agility classes back in the early 90's. As they
say, you can't have just one.....
.....Then in 2007, Addison contacted Carleen Farrington of Raynham, Massachusetts. Later that year, we included Mitern's
Legend .... aka "Rain". They are looking forward to dealing with Carleen and Mitern Kennels in the future. Some of the best
advise comes from a good mentor!
Addison and Ron are currently registered with the prefix Addiron with the Canadian Kennel Club. They do believe in the
adage of quantity does not beget quality. When breeding Shelties, Addison always bred when he wanted to keep something for
his own lines and kennel. We do not breed specifically for the pet market (but will occasionally have puppies available as
pets to the general public), but instead for the betterment of the breed. We do not condone the actions of puppy mills and
back yard breeders. Beware of the breeder who has multiple litters a year and keeps a small percentage themselves. Check
to make sure they are conducting proper health clearances and if it doesn't seem right, then it most likely isn't.
We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club and the Association of Parson Russell Terrier Fanciers which is the National breed
club in Canada. Addison is the club secretary, webmaster and produces the club newsletter for the APRTF/AAPRT.
